THE TEAM
Please be advised that the whole team are volunteers and may not attend every session. Whilst a booking system is not used it is strongly advised you make contact prior to turning up if you have an item that may require more specialist attention to make sure there will be someone on hand to help.
The admin. team. Arguably the most important team, as nothing would happen without these guys. Meeting you as you arrive, showing you to a suitable repairer, see you out and keeping the repairers supplied with tea and coffee, they are on the go the whole time, as well as behind the scenes administration tasks.
The textile team. These great volunteers will tackle most sewing repairs.
Leather work specialist. Available at most sessions but suggest contact is made to check availability.
Specialist electrical/electronic team. These guys will tackle most electrical repairs, including radios, etc.
Specialist vacuum repairer. Available at most sessions. Most of the repairers will be able to help with vacuum repairs but this repairer has more knowledge of disassembling and fault finding, as others are more experienced in their own fields of interest.
Specialist bicycle repairer. Unfortunately this repairer is no longer able to attend but some of the other team should be able to help – especially if prior notice is given.
General and mechanical repairers. These guys will tackle most repairs and have much experience between them.
In general all the repairers work as a team and will swap around to help each other as and when needed. They all have their own likes and dislikes and together have a wealth of experience.
